Testing methodology
Basically what I mean by real life work load is that these test are done like a normal user would do as well. So on a SSD I installed a operating system with all drivers couple of applications and a couple of games, then I start testing. If I were to keep everything as clean as possible and do the tests then the results may differ a lot compared to a consumer test results. All tests done in this review can be done with software everyone has free access to and is easy to understand.

CrystalDiskInfo is one of the tools I turn to when I want as much useful data as possible about our system’s hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid-state drives (SSDs) as well as many external drives. This free system utility monitors the health and status of your drives and displays the information in a compact, easy-to-read interface. CrystalDiskInfo monitors and displays your drives’ temperature and SMART data, and it can even alert you when things start to go wrong.

CrystalDiskMark is a disk benchmark utility that measures performance for sequential and random reads/writes of various sizes for any storage device. It is useful for comparing the speed of both portable and local storage devices.

CrystalDiskMark can measure sequential reads/writes speed, measure random 512KB, 4KB, 4KB (Queue Depth=32) reads/writes speed, has support for different types of test data (Random, 0Fill, 1Fill), includes basic theme support and has multilingual support (though it will not yet remember your language selection between runs).
