The new Elinchrom ELB 500 TTL is the most powerful and portable TTL light ever designed for adventurous portrait photographers shooting both in studio and on location.

Yesterday, Elinchrom introduced the ELB 500 TTL, an incredibly portable and powerful battery pack combining 500Ws of power with a feature set including TTL, High Speed Sync, Active Charging, Full Asymmetry with built-in Skyport designed to empower the workflow of portrait photographers both in studio and on location.

The presentation which I attended was held at Allard Studio’s in Amsterdam in collaberation with Fotoflits (The dutch distributeur for Elinchrom in The Netherlands). When I first walked in the studio to check it all out my jaw literly dropped to the ground, what humongeus space. I was told this was just one of the studios they have… they have more.

I did not have a clue of what sort of product the launch was al about tho I picked up on some rumours about a new ELB, but wasnt expecting it to have TTL among it features.

The main presenters were Brett Florens (a editorial, fashion, portrait and wedding photography) and Hans van Eijsden (also a fashion and portrait photographer) both avid Elinchrom users. Brett started off the presentation talking about the tests he done with the Elinchrom ELB 500 TTL on location where as Hans van Eijsden gave a more technical overview on the new ELB 500 TTL. Checkout his full story on the ELB 500 on his blog.
